Humanity lives on the lithosphere - land masses that rise and fall within the hydrosphere, whichcovers 72% of Earth’s surface. These land masses, which constitute humanity’s natural habitat, make up a relatively small part of the planet. In essence, every landmass can be considered an “island,” varying in size and characteristics.
“Trade Corridors’ Security and Türkiye”
Despite the strong historical and cultural background, it is no longer an option but an obligation for Türkiye - Middle East, or more narrowly, Türkiye - Gulf Countries relations, in which strategic dialogue is still developing, to transform from a fragile axis to a cooperation axis that will adapt to new balances, new roles, and new alliances.
Concerns must be taken into account that comprehensive international military strategies may, in some cases, contribute to regional security crises in Africa. Due to both broad industrial challenges and narrower defence industry limitations, African states often struggle to adequately build their military capacities—creating an opening for overly interventionist and neo-colonial tendencies.
Asia, home to emerging global powers, has become the economic and strategic center of the world in the 21st century. Türkiye’s “Asia Anew” initiative, announced in 2019 to forge stronger ties with this continent with which it shares deep-rooted connections, reflects an innovative and entrepreneurial foreign policy approach. Aiming to modernize and carry its Asia policy into the future, Türkiye has developed a new, holistic approach that respects the continent’s diversity.

Our world is rapidly evolving into a multi-layered universe of "security and defence" under the influence of swiftly advancing technologies and profound sociopolitical transformations. Türkiye's initiative called "Asia Anew," declared in 2019 to re-establish stronger ties with the Asian continent, which has ancient connections and has become the economic and geopolitical center of the world in the 21st century by hosting rising global powers, is a reflection of an entrepreneurial foreign policy concept that necessitates innovation.
Despite a strong historical and cultural background, the relations between Türkiye and the Middle East, or more narrowly, Türkiye and the Gulf Countries, where strategic dialogue is still evolving, need to transform from a fragile axis into a cooperation axis that adapts to new balances, roles, and alliances. When viewed with vision and sagacity, this has been tested in various crises that the spirit of history and time has reminded us of for a long time.
Concerns should be taken into account about how comprehensive international military strategies contribute to regional security crises on the continent of Africa. There are views suggesting that Africa's inability to properly strengthen its military capacity due to existing problems in both the industry in general and the defense industry in particular creates a ground for overly interventionist and neo-colonial tendencies.
With the rapid advancement of technology and the widespread adoption of digital transformation processes, the importance and complexity of cyberspace are increasing. In this new technopolitical cyberspace, Turkey's role and strategic position are becoming increasingly prominent. Turkey is developing itself in areas such as artificial intelligence, deepfakes, and cybersecurity and using these technologies in line with its strategic interests.
Humanity lives on rising or falling land masses (lithosphere) in the middle of the water sphere that makes up 72% of the Earth's surface, shaped by various terrestrial dynamics. The land masses forming the natural habitat of humanity constitute only a small part of the Earth's surface. The fundamental commonality of all these land masses is that they each have the nature of an "island." The size of islands varies. Some islands are continental, hosting multiple states and nations.
